These are some pics I took in the city of La Paz on a recent trip to Bolivia. I found the dress of the local women pretty cool.
The appropriation of items such as the Spanish Pollera skirt, poncho and English Bowler Hat worn with traditional Andean textiles by the Aymara women has become a symbol of pride in their indian heritage.
As you can see, I found the gorgeous bright colours in the woven textiles (often used as bags) particularly eye catching.
